Alen Takhsh

Alen Takhsh founded Takhsh Law P.C. in 2011 with a mission to provide compassionate, client-focused legal counsel for individuals navigating both simple and complex immigration challenges. His practice is driven by a deep understanding of each client's goals and a commitment to helping them legally live, work, and study in the United States.

Alen has represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. consulates abroad. His areas of expertise include:

Having immigrated to the U.S. with his family over thirty years ago, Alen brings a deeply personal understanding of the immigration process. Of Assyrian and Armenian heritage, Alen immigrated from Iran and is intimately familiar with the emotional and legal complexities his clients face.

Alen earned his B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago in 2002 and his J.D. from The UIC John Marshall Law School in 2007. He actively serves on the boards of Heartland Alliance, the National Immigrant Justice Center, and the Skokie Community Foundation.

Outside of his legal work, Alen enjoys running marathons, competing in triathlons, and spending time with his family and two dogs, Rumi and Piper.
