Shadi Karimi, Esq., LL.M., is a New York-licensed attorney with extensive legal training in both Civil and Common Law systems. She is the founder and managing counsel of KB Immigration Law, LLC (KBI Law, LLC), where she brings over 15 years of legal expertise and a deep commitment to immigrant rights and legal advocacy.

Ms. Karimi has served for over 15 years as a Foreign and Comparative Law Consultant at the Law Library of Congress, the main legal research arm of the U.S. Congress. Her deep understanding of global legal systems adds a unique perspective to her immigration law practice.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Azad University in Tehran and an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from American University’s Washington College of Law. In addition, she holds specialized immigration law certificates from both American University and Cornell Law School.

Shadi Karimi is a strong advocate for social justice and civil rights. She provides pro bono asylum representation through Human Rights First (HRF), helping vulnerable individuals seek safety and justice in the U.S.
